| I used to be a member of Motherwell MCC, some of us did a brilliant
Euro Trip in 2003, with 8 of us riding down to Newcastle and getting the
ferry over to IJmuiden in Holland. We battled through the rain to our
first nights stop at Oudenburg, the fabulous
Groenedijk bikers only hotel in
Belgium, got to be worth a visit in any biker's book. Next stop was
Maastricht, right at the southern tip of Holland, only a few miles away
from the Belgian and German borders. On the spare Sunday we did a fast
trip covering 4 countries in a day, Holland, Germany, Belgium and into Luxembourg,
travelling at 165mph+ in places shredding the back tyres, what a blast! The last night
saw us staying in the beautiful city of Haarlem on the coast of Holland,
relaxing in the square and chilling out. Some of the guys went into
Amsterdam to see and experience some of it's pleasures. |
