Mallorca March 2001

Having managed to escape on my own for a week in March this year I hired a Yamaha Virago in Palma then based myself in Puerto Pollensa. Ideally situated for touring the round the Island. Some of the villages in the north and off the beaten track are worth a visit, and being off-season they were very quiet. The Virago 535 was perfect for the job, laid back just like the Spanish, comfortable and plenty fast enough for the twisty roads. It was just right. 1000 Kilometres in one week saw most of the Island covered.
